REALIZING YOUR VISION

Buying a home, at any stage of experience, can come with a roller coaster of emotions ranging from disappointment to excitement and everything in between. I'm here to guide you through every step of the process, and will make it fun along the way.

When it comes to buying a home, the entire process can be intimidating. Often, it’s the dream of making a house a home, and building a life there that is your north star. Figuring out the steps to get there can be daunting, and that's where I come in to help! With a system and a wealth of local knowledge, here is a step by step look at what you can expect:

INTAKE

When we first meet, we'll take some time just getting to know each other. I learn all about your vision of an ideal home, and we’ll spend time brainstorming your wants, your must-haves, and your deal breakers.

APPLICATION & PREAPPROVAL

The next step is for you to connect with a local lender. You’ll need to submit an application and gain pre-approval (Underwritten is best!), and I will provide you with local lender recommendations. Of course, you’re also free to shop around on your own, just make sure it is someone you can trust, and who will be responsive through your transaction! Ensuring that you have an experienced, reliable lender on your side will help guarantee that you’ll have everything in place to close on time.

 

FIRST TOUR

This is where the fun begins! Based on the information gathered during our intake meeting, I will put together a selection of homes to tour together. Before the tour, I will preview all active properties that fall within your parameters, and from here design the tour to include homes that I'd consider “winners,” homes that could be “maybes,” and a few homes that you may not have considered but could still have potential. Depending on market inventory and your schedule, plan for 3+ hours. At the end of tour we'll have a greater understanding of what your perfect home looks like! There's a chance you will discover your dream home this tour, but if not I will continue to send potential listings until you reach your perfect match!

FROM OFFER TO ACCEPTANCE

Once you’ve found “the one,” we begin putting together the offer. Starting by providing you with a market analysis to help determine a competitive offer price.  I'll walk you through the contract, including going over various contingencies and addendum to ensure that you understand the contract and your obligations as a buyer.

INSPECTION TO MOVING DAY

A home inspection is going to be your version of an x-ray of the property. Afterward, you'll receive a detailed report of any issues, and from here, I'll go back to the seller and negotiate repairs or necessary funds to manage the repairs.

After mutual acceptance, we will work in conjunction with a third party escrow officer to ensure the transaction is managed to meet all deadlines. On closing day, once I have received word that the documents have recorded, I can hand over your new keys!

When the day you’ve been waiting for finally arrives, I'm ready to help you plan a successful transition! I've got several resources to assist you with the entire moving process, from packing, to moving, to decluttering! I also have recommendations for services you might need setting up your new home, whether you plan to paint, install new floors, or tackle a whole remodel. I'm here for all of your real estate needs, no matter what part of the process you’re in.
